Abstract: China's research on VR technology started late, but the development speed is fast, in recent years in all walks of life has been a good application, and has achieved a good response, has won the attention and support from all walks of life. VR VR technology is developing rapidly. At present, software and hardware products based on the development of VR technology are increasingly rich, and VR related content and applications are growing and popular. VR VR industry at home and abroad is growing in content, network, terminal, chip and display. VR technology is developed based on the advantages of 5G network, with three characteristics: high speed, low delay and large connection. First, it uses millimeter-wave technology to transmit data at rates far higher than previous cellular networks, and faster than today's wired Internet. The second is shorter response time and lower network latency. The third is the large connection capacity, per square kilometer can access 1 million terminals. These advantages also provide a wide range of application scenarios for 5G technology. EMBB is one of the major application scenarios. It provides high rate applications such as VR/AR, HD video, holographic projection, etc. Virtual reality is VR technology integrated computer graphics technology, computer simulation technology, artificial intelligence, sensing technology, display technology, network parallel processing technology to create virtual environment, so as to give people the feeling of immersion. VR technology has made rapid progress, has been widely used at home and abroad, involving medical, tourism, education, architecture, military and other aspects. Combined with the characteristics and needs of different fields, VR technology can develop and establish multiple types of business applications, resulting in huge economic and social benefits.

2.2 Upgrading of the medical industry
VR technology can reduce the risk in medical nursing practice to a certain extent. For example, the combination of VR technology and medical nursing education and training can promote the learning of nursing students, improve the efficiency and quality of training for practitioners, and enable them to have sufficient opportunities and cases to strengthen their basic skills and ability to deal with special patients, so as to be fully prepared for entering clinical practice. The collaboration between VR technology and remote control technology can help patients to clarify the main steps and links of treatment in 3D three-dimensional image operation without medical staff and at home, so as to ensure the correctness of the execution of medical orders. At the same time, VR technology can gradually replace the existing forms of text communication, voice communication and two-dimensional video communication, improve the efficiency of doctor-patient communication through virtual human image communication, and reduce the medical risks caused by communication barriers. VRML (Virtual reality modeling Language) is also a common means to implement desktop virtual reality, and it is a promising technology to be applied in Internet. It uses descriptive text language to describe basic THREE-DIMENSIONAL object modeling, through certain control, these basic THREE-DIMENSIONAL modeling is combined into a virtual scene, when the browser browses these text information, local interpretation and execution, can generate virtual THREE-DIMENSIONAL scene, greatly reducing the amount of data transmission on the Internet. The application status of VR technology in power system
Substation and transmission lines are the most important part of the power system. At present, domestic units and universities have built multiple sets of 110 ~ 500 KV virtual substation models and transmission lines of various voltage levels according to the characteristics of various regions. For substations, VR technology can provide the following functions:
(1) At the early stage of design, the relative position of each device structure can be verified through modeling, and a reasonable deployment scheme can be worked out to optimize the spatial layout.
(2) After the completion of the system, it can provide intuitive and visual guidance for the maintenance and maintenance work of substation operators, reduce the difficulty and risk of operation, and improve the efficiency of operation.
(3) Simulation training on substation structure, function and operation mode can be carried out for substation personnel to reduce the cost and risk of training. For transmission lines, VR technology can provide the following functions:
(1) It can provide modeling support for transmission line construction simulation.
(2) It can provide the environmental simulation function in the process of transmission line construction to predict construction accidents and environmental risks.
(3) Disaster simulation and assessment system can be established.
(4) Operation trajectory model can be constructed.
(5) It can provide analog line searching function for line workers.
In China, the virtual reality power training system developed by many companies can provide an immersive, safe and interactive training method for the training of power system personnel. It can not only display the external shape of the equipment, but also show its internal structure and connection mode, and reveal its logical relationship; And through human-computer interaction technology, learning the working principle of power equipment and maintenance methods, the effect is direct and clear. According to the needs of remote learning personnel, a multi-point distributed VR teaching system can be established by using Internet technology, which can carry out multi-user system operation and provide an environment for remote system operation. VR technology for simulation training, not only can save training costs, but also can effectively reduce the risk of training, learning personnel can carry out 360° free observation of the scene, analyze the structure of the equipment, in-depth understanding of its composition and principle, get the intuitive feeling that is difficult to get in books. In addition, power virtual simulation training is more flexible, and the configuration of models, data, information and interaction modes can be designed, built, expanded, supplemented or combined according to needs.

VR technology field was born in the United States, initially to meet the needs of national defense and aerospace, with the rapid development of computer technology, especially graphics display technology, there are more applications in actual production. Its main development trend is toward the direction of production convenience and provide the sense of experience of entertainment activities. However, as VR technology is an emerging science and technology, its development also depends on the development of other technologies and is limited by other current science and technology. Its immersion, interaction and other aspects need further improvement and perfection.
